About This Project

The newly constructed 17,600 sq.ft. library in Nanaimo North is a unique example of the modern library. JM&C is proud to have participated in the design, supply and installation of all interior furnishings and shelving. Unique products from around the globe were used to enhance the look, feel and image of the new library and encourage the use of the library by a wide range of patrons.

Curved radius shelving and low mobile book browsers were sourced from Denmark, to enhance the flow and break up conventional linear book stacks.

Inside the new library CD’s and DVD’s are featured on an eye catching multi media shelving display unit from the UK.

Spaces include meeting rooms with a media technology table, computer stations, laptop bar, reading lounge with large fireplace, mobile tablet arm chairs for flexible learning and study spaces.
